The Olde Stonehouse Bed and Breakfast
Inn occupies the
Metcalf family home built in 1924 of native Arkansas stone. The home is
listed on the National Historic Register as is most of downtown
"Old Hardy Town". Since 1992 the Olde Stonehouse has
offered gracious accommodations to travelers as a luxury Bed and Breakfast
Inn in the heart of Hardy's downtown Historic District.
Recapture the romance of times past. Relax and unwind in lovely
rooms decorated with period antiques, an old working player piano, quilts and
lace. We offer many Special Packages or enjoy the adventure of
a weekend Murder
Mystery.

You'll love curling up in the
jumbo rocking chairs on the front porch, enjoying the "passers-by"
on main street or catching up on that book you've been wanting to
read.

Or bring your favorite instrument and play on the expansive back deck. As
we like to say "take some porch time" just rocking, sipping mint tea or cool lemonade, reading
or watching the happenings in town. Walk to quant
Old Hardy Town's visiting the antique and craft shops...or maybe stroll along
the river...or join the other guests for conversation or games.
Perhaps you'll retire to your room. It's the kind of room that
conjures up romance...

In the morning you will awaken to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and
baking bread. After a leisurely cup of coffee, you'll be served breakfast in the
dining room. Remember breakfast at Grandma's - lace tablecloth, roses, china,
silver and the smell of something wonderful cooking?

Time has not changed Hardy, an old railroad town situated on the
banks of the Spring River, well known for its large antique
auctions and unique shops. The Spring River is famous for canoeing
and fishing. Special Packages are available
for most every activity.
The two-story stone home was built
in the 1920s. Most of the house is original, but private baths, telephone,
television, and zoned heat/air have been added for your comfort.
Our Inn features original artwork by local artists.
The Olde Stonehouse and some forty other buildings in quaint Old Hardy Town are listed on the National
Register of Historic Places.
Hardy is located in the Ozark Gateway
Tourism Region.
